Finding The Best Artwork
Choosing artwork is so fun. It shows so much of your personality, who you are and your style. My favorite type of art is print art. It looks so modern and clean. I like to find fun and unique prints and place them in nice frames. My favorite frames are the Pottery Barn wood gallery frames. Art can be expensive. The nice thing about prints are you can buy them individually or sold in sets (however the seller has this arranged) and if you put them in a nice quality frame, it can look like a really expensive piece of art.
Some of the best places (and my favorite) to find any type of art piece are Etsy and Minted. What I love most about these retailers are the pieces are unique and typically one of a kind. Compared to stores like World Market, Z gallerie, Target, etc that sell several hundreds of the same pieces of art. The nice thing about these shops are you are also able to customize the size of what you want. Minted gives the option to even buy frames with the art and you can customize the size and the color of the frame. So convenient! Etsy has some beautiful prints being sold by photographers. I have several shops saved to my favorites in Etsy and I always check in with them to see what new prints they have in. These shops are not only limited to print but any kind of art. From paintings, to photography, to canvas art.
Buying prints individually can get expensive. Depending on the size a print can range up to $100. I follow a photographer on Instagram that takes amazing photos. She sells her prints individually. However towards the end of the year she sells a calendar with her photos for $35. The calendar she sold for 2018 had the most amazing prints. You may remember I posted a picture of the calendar here. I bought the calendar and cut out the pictures to use as artwork. Such a steal! 12 large prints for $35. You cant beat that.
I found the prints below at Urban Outfitters. Who knew they had nice art???
