Microblading with Salon 8
Unfortunately, I was a victim of the 90's skinny brow. Very thin over waxed/over plucked brows. It has been hard to grow them out as full as I want. Filling them in everyday can get annoying. Once again, I am not the girl who does her make up everyday. And I hate when it looks like you can rub someone's eye brow off because it is so over drawn. Fortunately, there is an alternative. My cousin is certified in Microblading and suggested it to me. I had never heard of it until my cousin Angelique mentioned it to me. It's very popular in Los Angeles and has become very popular in Cleveland as well. I will say I was apprehensive to try and a little nervous. But I trust Angelique and knew I was in good hands. I gave it a try and am so glad I did!One of the benefits of microblading is not having to fill in your brows daily. It also appears very natural and looks like actual brow hairs. She also does another technique called microshading also known as powder brows or ombre brows. Microshading gives more of an air brushed look compared to microblading that creates little "hairs".
The results are amazing. I love that instead of your eye brows looking like they are drawn on, they look very real and natural. Microblading can last anywhere between 12 months- 2 years depending on your skin type and lifestyle. It tends to last longer on normal to dry skin compared to oily skin types. If you are nervous about pain, not to worry. She uses a numbing cream and allows it to set long enough so you don't feel anything.
If you are looking to have it done, I would definitely check her out. Aside from micro blading/micro shading, she does lashes and nails! She just created an IG.
Check out her instagram here.
