Should You Try Fascial Oil

Should You Try Facial Oil?

It's officially holiday season which means winter is upon us. The dry winter air can be brutal on your skin, especially if you live in a cold climate like I do. With my dry skin, I have to find ways to keep it hydrated and to retain moisture. I combat my dry skin every winter, especially with my hands. So here is what I have been doing to take care of my skin this winter.

Water, water, water!!!! This is a no brainer I know. It starts from within, so make sure you drink a lot of water to replenish the fluids in your body.

I have incorporated  using facial oil. I was scared to try it at first. The idea of putting oil on my face just did not sound appealing. However once I tried it I loved it, and  it has become apart of my daily routine. There are many different types of facial oils out there, so you can try and find the one that works for you and your skin type. I like Honest beauty's facial oil. I bought this bottle last year, They have since rebranded the packaging but it is the same product.

After my normal skin cleanse routine, I mix a couple of drops with my moisturizer. Rub together, and apply to my face (I also mix a few drops with lotion to use for my hands to help fight dryness).  It is not heavy at all and does not clog your pores. The oil helps seals in the moisture that you have put into it and adds extra nourishment. Facial oil creates a barrier which help protect skin from harmful pollutants.

After use, my skin is super soft and has the most beautiful natural glow. I mostly use it  nightly, but on the days when it is bitter cold, I do use it in the morning.

Aside from mixing with your moisturizer, there are other ways to make use of this product. You can mix it with your foundation which creates a dewy look.. Adding to foundation can also help foundation apply more smoothly. Try mixing with eye shadow to create a deeper more pigmented shade. I'm sure there are other ways to use, but these are the three ways I tried. Try it out and see if you like it.

Thanks for reading! Have a great week.
