Juicing in the New Year

Juicing in the New Year

This year, I've become super into juicing. I'm 8 months into my meatless pescatarian life change, so I try to get as much protein and iron from alternative sources as much as I can. My husband and I have really gotten into juicing and made it apart of our everyday lifestyle.

I have found that juicing has helped as a great substitution in obtaining certain nutrients that normally come from meat. Initially,  I was always afraid to try it, but have found natural juice to be quite tasty. It's no secret I am a fan of Restore and I just became a fan of their juices. Restore has raw organic juice in different flavors to fit everyone's taste buds. My favorite is the #1 detox juice. This consists of apple, beet, carrot, and lemon. It's so tasty.  My second favorite is the #8 plant fix. This is spinach, kale, pear, lemon, and ginger. The ginger gives it such a kick.

My thing now is to search around for good juice shops. Restore of course always has great raw pressed juice. I recently stumbled upon another juice shop called the grocery. Not only can you get fresh squeezed juice, but you can shop for locally grown organic produce, and grab a tasty bite to eat.

Aside from these two I have also become a fan of Beet Jar and juice up. Beet Jar is completely vegan. While I wasn't really fund of Beet Jars actual juices, their smoothies are phenomenal! I tried their strawberry banana smoothie where they used fresh dates and OMG, it was delicious. What I like about their smoothies are they are 100% natural. They are made from all fresh fruit, no dairy, no added sugar, no fruit juices. Just pure organic fruits.  Juice up on the other hand had very tasty juices and I may even favor this location over Restore Cold Pressed. The great thing about Juice up is they allow you to try any flavor of juice before you purchase.

I have become slightly addicted to juicing. I love it and it is such a great healthy alternative to the sugary drinks sold in stores. It's an easy way to get in necessary vitamins and nutrients. If you have never tried pure raw pressed, I highly suggest it. And the places listed above offer some very tasty options. Hope you have a great week!

xoxo
