Spring Refresh

Spring Refresh

Spring is one of my favorite seasons. I'm obsessed with the pastel colors, blooming flowers, fresh air, and sunnier skies. It is also a great time to give your home a little refresh along with that spring cleaning.

Giving my dining room and kitchen a mini face lift was on my to do list for spring. The dining room is still a work in progress, but the kitchen is coming along. The great news is I didn't have to spend a fortune to update the space. Switching out vases, changing rugs, adding new knick knacks are all inexpensive ways to update your space.

I love the marble look in kitchens and wanted to incorporate it in mine. I found this gorgeous marble slab and thought it would look beautiful on my kitchen island. I thought it would serve as a great focal point for the room. I added a plant to add in some fresh greenery. To keep the minimal modern style I love, I kept the planters and bowls white to make the greenery pop. I opted for this beautiful bubble planter to bring a little personality.

I also opted for a wire basket instead of the typical fruit bowl to display the fruit on the counter. The basket keeps everything organized and instead of hiding it's contents they are on full display. It also serves as a bookend to prop up my cookbooks.

I originally had this runner in my front entry way but felt it would serve a better purpose as a sink rug.

I absolutely love this cutting board! I was looking for something to give a little personality and this board hit it right on the head. The marble x detailing is so modern and ties in with the other marble accents I have. The marble rolling pin just adds the finishing touch and brings out the marble detailing on the cutting board.

I decided to switch out the food canisters. The prior ones were a wedding gift. After four years, it was time for an update. The wood tops give great contrast to my black and white kitchen.

I found some great accessories to style with. These small and inexpensive make a huge difference. My kitchen refresh is complete. You don't have to break the bank to update your space. Something as small as adding some greenery, changing out a rug, and new accessories can give you an instant update.

I hope you have a great week!

XOXO,

Ashley
