Five Summer Hosting Gifts

Five Summer Hosting Gifts

Summer time means longer days, happy hours on the porch, grilling dinner in the back yard, and endless hosting. I love this time of year because everything is blooming and we can officially start spending more time outside rather than in.

It's an endless season of grilling, picnics, bonfires and just spending time outside.Whether it's an easy backyard happy hour or dinner outside under the stars, surprising the hostess who put everything together is an easy way to say thank you. It's a way to show appreciation to the person who put in hard work to make the gathering happen. It doesn't have to be something to stress over or something that breaks the bank. Here are five host gift ideas for summer.

1. Coffee table book
This is a a great gift to give and receive! You can write a little note in the cover. Books can double as decor for the home.

2. Fresh Flowers
A no brainer right? Hand picked by you or a beautiful bouquet from from the store. Peonies are in season right and are the most gorgeous flowers. They make a great table display and the vibrant color adds that pop of color.

3. Wine
Red, white, Rose. What better way to say thanks than a nice glass of their favorite wine. Even if the host already has a bar menu planned, it doesn't hurt to add more. You can never have enough.

4. Coasters
Coasters are an everyday item that is often overlooked. This will probably be the most used gift. You always need coasters when hosting. There are so many beautiful styles now a days. From marble to patterned to stone and beyond. This is a gift that won't go unnoticed.

5. Candle-
Opt for a nice candle outside of bath and body works. There are so many nice candles that cater to different scent preferences. Choosing one where the packaging is just as nice as the scent is an added bonus. I love Dyptique candles. The scent is not overpowering and the packaging matches the candle.
